Maintenance Technician II (Pacific Shrimp)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times
Be on call, as needed
Assess maintenance and repair problems with follow-up
Perform plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration work and repair equipment when breakdowns occur to maintain production
Learn set-up, operation, adjustments and operating parameters of production equipment
Develop open communication with machine operators, department supervisors and managers
Bring production equipment to a good operating standard and improve work order system and develop a return to service , i.e. production certification
Formulate preliminary plan to facilitate implementing a preventative maintenance schedule for production equipment, which will minimize breakdowns and increase productivity
Develop working relationship with outside vendors to become familiar with their activities and necessity and develop long-term goal to reduce our reliance on outside vendors and reduce costs
Build spare parts stock for normal wear items
Paint any necessary areas, as needed
Develop alternating schedule for weekend emergency response and work schedules, 2 people for general maintenance, refrigeration, alarms, etc.
Work on new installation projects including cost analysis and estimated time to complete.
May develop specifications from general description and draw sketch of product to be fabricated.
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
Fits and assembles parts and materials into complete assembly, using welder, jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, handtools, and power tools.
Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
Develop a daily walk-through routine to spot possible problems; remedies any unsafe conditions ASAP.
Safety must be first priority and repair aesthetic defects i.e. seals, hinges, hangers, etc. when production maintenance and breakdowns allow
Reconfigure processing equipment, electrical conduits, and water lines to improve aesthetics, efficiency and safety.
Develop a preventative maintenance plan for facility, i.e. processing equipment, dock, doors, seals, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise maintenance and labor crews on assigned tasks.
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
High school diploma/GED equivalent
Three to four years related experience in electrical (single phase, 3 phase & programming), refrigeration, welding and fabrication, forklift and building maintenance
Must be proficient in the use of GTAW, GMAW, and Stick Welding of ferrous and nonferrous metals
Experience in Best Practices in Process Improvement
EPA Universal Certification
Industrial Refrigeration Certified
Experience working in a food processing environment
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Able to obtain Commercial Driver's License
Fork-lift Certification
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Strong Computer skills in MS Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
