Seafood Processor, Surimi - Seasonal

Anticipated Season Duration
May through October.
Summary
To properly process seafood, ensuring maximum use and yield of product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to:
Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times
Open and remove raw materials and place on belts.
Segregate product on conveyor belt or table according to grade, color, and size.
Place product in containers or on designated conveyors.
Pack product in boxes, barrels, baskets, cans, totes or crates for storage or shipment.
Operate machine(s) to move live or packed seafood from place to place.
Review workspace for cleanliness and safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A. Education and Experience
Required:
Reliable prior work history
Preferred:
Prior experience with food processing equipment
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
None
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Constantly required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
Able to stand for long periods of time.

Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
