Starting Wage: $12.00 hourly
Reports to: Employment Manager
Function:
Provides on the job support for employee in learning job duties/tasks. Facilitates communication between employee and employer. Flexibility is critical and your schedule is based on the employee's schedule you've been assigned to support. Willingness to work outside of comfort level. Effective role modeling including appropriate dress, communication and work behaviors for the job being supported. Ability to establish a relationship with the employee in order to become familiar with their learning styles and abilities. Observation of employee's increased independence and ability to reduce support needs.
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent, with at least 1 year experience in providing training or supports to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities seeking employment and/or job skills training.
Preference given to those with experience providing job coaching assistance and knowledge of local public transportation systems.
Requirements:
Flexible hours and on-call availability, may require some weekends and evenings, dependent upon the supported individual's schedule.
Oregon Drivers License and Acceptable Driving Record
Must have the ability to get to work sites in a timely manner.
Willingness to work outside one's own comfort level.
Effective role modeling including appropriate dress, communication and work behaviors for the job being supported.
Ability to establish relationships with the employee to become familiar with learning styles.
Duties:
Assisting employee to communicate their personal needs, wishes, and preferences to the appropriate person
Assists employee in all areas defined by community employment agreement.
Prepare analysis of work environments
Train employee in other vocational support skills related to the job.
Develops task analysis.
Maintain records and documentation.
Promotes autonomy and encourages decision making.
Working Conditions:
This position is paid hourly with a work schedule that may be full or part time and is subject to change. Hours are determined for each position and noted in the Employee Status Sheet. Hours and days of work may vary throughout the day and week in order to provide services when they are needed. Compensation is established by Shangri-La.
Works in a team setting, with partner agencies, employers and independently with minimal supervision. Work may be conducted in an office setting and/or may require frequent driving of a vehicle
This position may require work in conditions where temperature and/or weather conditions may fluctuate. The person may be exposed to various chemicals or work materials such as dust, wood dust, cleaning solvents or other materials related to the nature of the work conducted at the place of business.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
